The Ultimate Reward: Best of Texas Adventure Package

Join us on a 4 day, 3 night epic trip to paddle Santa Elena Canyon in the iconic Big Bend National Park of West Texas. This adventure trip comes to you created, planned, sponsored, guided, and captured by the Kammok, Peak Design, and Oru Kayak team. All gear, food, transportation, guiding, and professional photography included. (Airfare excluded.)

We’ll both bring the fun.

Bonus: You’ll keep all your (new!) gear.

Big Bend NP

The Epitome of Texas Adventure

Larger than the state of Rhode Island and as wild as the West Texas Desert can be, time spent in Big Bend provides a heavenly experience and is a regular pilgrimage destination for many Austinites seeking adventure in the Lone Star State. Most patrons camp/hike within the iconic Chisos Basin although there are ample opportunities to hike, bike, stargaze and paddle all throughout the massive park.

Perhaps the most unique aspect of Big Bend NP is the fact that this National Park borders Mexico via the Rio Grande sharing roughly 1,000 miles of international boundary splitting the rugged mountainous terrain of SouthWest Texas and the vast openness of the Chihuahuan desert. The crown jewel of this section of river is without a doubt Santa Elena Canyon. Equal parts dramatic and serene, paddlers are quickly mesmerized by a meandering riverway shrouded by 1,500 foot cliffs that dance in the shifting sunlight.

Kammok Guide

Travis Perkins

Travis was born and raised deep in the piney woods of East Texas. Although he is now based in Austin, TX, his passions for traveling the world, photographing the wild earth, & serving those in need have taken him on adventures from everywhere within the Lone Star State to the jungles and mountains of Mexico, to the highland deserts and mountains of Central & South America, and to the vast beauty of sub-saharan Africa. He is an obsessive climber, paddler, runner and (sometimes) yogi. Travis' life is a complex yet simple balance of hard work, intentional rest, and abundant joy. He finds that these three converge best when seeking adventure in wild places and capturing those moments in photographic splendor. See more at @travperk_photo and www.travisperkinsphoto.com
